Hayley Williams<\/a> dropped a shimmering new song \u201cOver Yet,\u201d the latest single off her debut solo LP Petals for Armor<\/em>, out May 8th via Atlantic.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there\u2019s resistance\/it makes you stronger\/It\u2019s not the end,\u201d Williams sings over a throbbing beat, as footage of her posing for photos in extravagant outfits flashes across the screen. \u201cIt\u2019s the right\u205ftime\/To come alive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams decided to release Petals for Armor<\/em> in two EPs: Petals for Armor I<\/em> and Petals for Armor II<\/em>. Released in February, the first EP contains \u201cSimmer<\/a>,\u201d \u201cLeave It Alone,<\/a>\u201d \u201cCinnamon,\u201d \u201cSudden Desire\u201d and \u201cCreepin.<\/a>\u2018\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it best to start the journey this way,\u201d she tweeted<\/a> of the two EPs. \u201cSome real heavy themes\u2026let\u2019s get this catharsis today, people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams delayed the release of the second EP due to the coronavirus pandemic but released the single \u201cRoses\/Lotus\/Violet\/Iris<\/a>,\u201d featuring the indie-rock supergroup Boygenius.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first time that I am seeing my name everywhere, and it kind of gives me heebie-jeebies a little bit,\u201d Williams recently told <\/a>Rolling Stone <\/em>of the album. \u201cMy name doesn\u2019t look like a name, to me, that you would see on a marquee. I also feel like Paramore<\/a> is half, if not more, of who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n
