The trek, originally slated to kick off on May 15th in New Orleans, will be rescheduled in the coming months. Current tickets will be automatically honored toward the new dates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs this summer\u2019s tour of 27 towns and cities across the U.S. drew near, we\u2019ve been increasingly excited to hit the road again,\u201d the duo said in a statement. \u201cSo it\u2019s deeply disappointing for both of us to have to call it off and reschedule (and reschedule we WILL)!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we all now realize, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/covid-19\/\" id=\"auto-tag_covid-19\" data-tag=\"covid-19\">COVID-19<\/a> is a serious, real and present danger,\u201d they continued. \u201cMoreover, our public health is all of our responsibility. So let us listen to and follow the directions of our public healthcare people and support their efforts in this unprecedented time of global pandemic. Love those around you and, above all, stay safe and healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Browne recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/jackson-browne-tests-positive-coronavirus-972713\/\">tested positive for COVID-19<\/a>, telling <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> that he has mild symptoms and is spending time in quarantine at home in Los Angeles, making music and phoning friends. He released a new song amid the crisis titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/jackson-browne-a-little-soon-to-say-972249\/\">A Little Too Soon to Say<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The song was written prior to the pandemic, but Browne found it appropriate for the times. \u201cI thought, \u2018Just do that now,&#8217;\u201d he said. \u201cJust put it out now while these things are so uncertain.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"pmc-contextual-player\">\n<h3> Popular on Rolling Stone <\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Taylor, meanwhile, recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/james-taylor-coronavirus-donation-972825\/\">donated $1 million<\/a> to the Massachusetts General Hospital to aid in the fight against COVID-19.
