According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/local.nixle.com\/alert\/7912422\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">release<\/a> from the Clayton County Sheriff\u2019s office, Carter\u2019s Lamborghini was pulled over for an expired tag. When the car was searched, officers found 12 bags of marijuana, three guns, Xanax, codeine, and oxycodone.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.claytoncountyga.gov\/government\/sheriff\/inmate-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">48-hour docket<\/a> on the Clayton County Sheriff\u2019s office Sherriff\u2019s office lists Carter\u2019s current charges as \u201crevalidation decal not displayed, possession of marijuana one ounce or less, improper passing of emergency\/towing\/hwy vehicle.\u201d The Sheriff\u2019s office did not respond when reached by phone.<\/p>\n<p>The Clayton Sheriff\u2019s release, which was also shared to Facebook, notes that Carter, along with Jaylon Tucker, was taken into custody and are \u201cfacing the wall at Georgia\u2019s toughest para-military jail known as the Hill-ton.\u201d It also included <a href=\"https:\/\/nixle.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/pub_media\/user31756-1585924707-media2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">a photo<\/a> of the guns and drugs found in the car. Carti\u2019s manager&nbsp; latertold the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/crime--law\/breaking-rapper-playboi-carti-arrested-gun-drug-charges-clayton-county\/DTG0cIfU65n3F2mbshqGBL\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Atlanta Journal Constitution<\/a> that the rapper was released from jail Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Playboi Carti came to national attention with the success of his 2017 self-titled project. The project\u2019s breakout single, \u201cMagnolia,\u201d is certified triple platinum. In recent years, Carti has become a reclusive star, living in Atlanta with his girlfriend, the Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and releasing little music \u2014 though fans rabidly track down any leaks and snippets that he\u2019s worked on.
