The singer-songwriter tuned in from his home in Fairview, Tennessee, with just a guitar and a microphone set up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t my room, it\u2019s my living room, which I\u2019m not in very much anymore because I\u2019m in New York most of the time,\u201d he said, before launching into a few growling folk songs: the ballad \u201cJohn Henry Was a Steel Drivin\u2019 Man,\u201d as well as his own songs \u201cChristmas in Washington\u201d and \u201cCopperhead Road.\u201d Earle signed off with a simple refrain: \u201cBe good, stay well, wash your hands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a bigger fix of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/steve-earle\/\" id=\"auto-tag_steve-earle\" data-tag=\"steve-earle\">Steve Earle<\/a> livestream performances, he\u2019ll be performing his own on Sunday, April 5th, at 3:00 p.m. EST on his official Facebook page. The special solo performance is to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Upper Big Branch mining disaster, which killed 29 men in a mining explosion in West Virginia.
