Rock engineer Eddie Kramer \u2014 who worked with the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and more \u2014 will be the subject of a new documentary<\/a>, From the Other Side of the Glass<\/em>. Rolling Stone<\/em> will team up with Paradise Lost<\/em> documentarian Joe Berlinger and Spencer Proffer to produce the film.<\/p>\n

Directed by John Dorsey, the documentary will trace Kramer\u2019s career, which started in London in the Sixties; he moved there from his hometown of Cape Town, South Africa. It will also examine the era\u2019s cultural and political landscape.<\/p>\n

Kramer is noted for having worked on the Beatles\u2019 Magical Mystery Tour<\/em> highlights \u201cAll You Need Is Love\u201d and \u201cBaby You\u2019re a Rich Man.\u201d He engineered five Led Zeppelin albums, including Led Zeppelin II<\/em> and Physical Graffiti<\/em>, as well all of Hendrix\u2019s albums, most notably Electric Ladyland.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

He also engineered Woodstock: Music from the Original Soundtrack and More<\/em>, a
three-LP live album of the famous festival. He worked on fringe records as well, like Blue Cheers\u2019 Outsideinside<\/em> and prog-rock band the Nice\u2019s 1969 self-titled LP.<\/p>\n

Kramer, who was also a photographer, will showcase images he captured of the artists in a filmed exhibition while the documentary is in production. Proffer\u2019s Meteor 17<\/a> will also publish a coffee table book featuring more than 300 of Kramer\u2019s photographs, featuring rock stars from John Lennon to Keith Richards to Jimmy Page.<\/p>\n

Berlinger spent last year working on two Ted Bundy projects for Netflix: the docuseries Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes<\/em><\/a> and Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile<\/em><\/a>, a film about the serial killer starring Zac Efron.<\/p>\n
