Radiohead<\/a> have announced a new weekly streaming series to keep fans entertained as they self-isolate during the coronavirus<\/a> pandemic. Each week, the band will post an archival show from their newly-launched Radiohead Public Library<\/a> onto their YouTube channel<\/a>, starting Thursday, April 9th, at 5 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that you have no choice whether or not you fancy a quiet night in,\u201d the band wrote on their fan newsletter, \u201cmay we draw your attention to these entertainments?\u201d<\/p>\n

The series will launch with Live From a Tent in Dublin<\/em><\/a>, which captures a show at the Punchestown Racecourse in Dublin, Ireland from October 8th, 2000. The 23-song set includes tracks from Kid A, <\/em>released six days prior to the show, plus a rare \u201cMotion Picture Soundtrack\u201d and \u201cBullet Proof\u2026I Wish I Was,\u201d and the OK Computer<\/em> outtake \u201cPearly<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be releasing one a week until either the restrictions resulting from current situation are eased, or we run out of shows,\u201d the band said. \u201cWhich will be first? No-one knows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since capping their extensive tour for A Moon Shaped Pool<\/em><\/a> in August 2018, the members of Radiohead have been focusing on individual projects. Last year, Thom Yorke dropped his third solo album, Anima<\/em><\/a>, and guitarist Jonny Greenwood launched a classical music label, Octatonic Records<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, guitarist Ed O\u2019Brien has been gearing up for the release of his solo debut Earth<\/em>, out April 17th, under the moniker EOB. He released his latest single \u201cOlympik<\/a>\u201d last week, and will drop a new song featuring Laura Marling on Thursday.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien recently announced on Instagram<\/a> that he suspects he has COVID-19<\/a>, saying he has flu-like symptoms and has lost his sense of smell and taste. \u201cI haven\u2019t tested because it\u2019s not readily available and I also think the tests are more important and valuable for the vulnerable in our community,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m expecting a full recovery, and of course self-isolating.\u201d<\/p>\n
