Noted humanitarian Mariah Carey<\/a> helped to usher in the Easter long weekend Friday, with a special performance of \u201cHero\u201d that she dedicated to those on the front-lines of the current coronavirus<\/a> pandemic.<\/p>\n

Dressed in a \u201cpink yet lavender<\/a>\u201d blouse, and seated in front of framed photos of her kids while in a makeshift home recording studio, Carey introduced the clip by saying she was doing her best to stay \u201cfestive\u201d during the Holy Week, despite what she called \u201ca unique time in history.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are united in this effort and in this moment,\u201d she declared, showing off the writing skills that got her inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame<\/a> this year. \u201cI want to take this time to acknowledge and honor the sacrifices of those who work everyday taking care of their communities,\u201d she continued, calling them, \u201cthe heroes who are making our daily lives possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
