She wrote all the record\u2019s songs with guitarist James Walbourne. \u201cJames and I really grappled with this one to get in all the subtleties and nuance of an R&amp;B classic, albeit with modern, autobiographical lyrics\u2026The fool is me!\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou Can\u2019t Hurt a Fool\u201d follows the single \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/the-pretenders-new-song-the-buzz-album-hate-for-sale-968206\/\">The Buzz<\/a>.\u201d <em>Hate for Sale<\/em>, band\u2019s 11th studio album, was originally slated for May 1st, but was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/the-pretenders-hate-for-sale-972504\/\">delayed<\/a> like many other releases due to the coronavirus pandemic.
