John Fogerty<\/a> and his family are making the most of their time in self-quarantine, taking to their home studio to record a new version of the Creedence Clearwater Revival<\/a> classic \u201cLodi.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clip finds Fogerty playing lead guitar while his son Shane plays bass, and his other son, Tyler, and daughter Kelsy, provide acoustic guitar accompaniment. The quartet\u2019s rendition of the tune has an easy and familial feel to it, while the narrative of \u201cLodi\u201d \u2014 about a struggling musician who can\u2019t manage to hit it big \u2014 carries an extra poignancy at a time when so many musicians\u2019 lives and careers have been waylaid because of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it is important that we don\u2019t take things for granted anymore,\u201d Fogerty told Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cMy daughter Kelsy, who is a senior in High School and is missing so much; her prom, graduation, said that to us yesterday. Right on Kelsy! If anything good is coming out of this, it\u2019s that I get to spend time with my family making music, spreading love through music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fogerty\u2019s son Shane \u2014 who plays guitar in Fogerty\u2019s regular band and fronts the group Hearty Har with his brother Tyler \u2014 added, \u201cNothing better than jamming with my dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Fogerty family\u2019s rendition of \u201cLodi\u201d follows a previously released version of another CCR favorite, \u201cDown on the Corner.\u201d<\/a> The Fogerty\u2019s are calling their at-home sessions \u201cCosmo\u2019s Factory\/Fogerty\u2019s Factory,\u201d a nod to CCR\u2019s 1970 album, Cosmo\u2019s Factory<\/i>, and they\u2019ve even recreated the LP\u2019s cover for the series.<\/p>\n
