That\u2019s not a slight; Carti\u2019s raison d\u2019etre is making music that\u2019s as dynamic as possible, which for him often means relying on lyrics as little as possible. Listening to a Carti song is to surrender oneself to an impenetrable world of loose enunciation, mesmerizing repetition, and freewheeling charisma. Carti is often more instrument \u2014 or bandleader \u2014 than rapper.<\/p>\n<p>On \u201c@ MEH,\u201d the mercurial artist\u2019s first official release of 2020 \u2014 he\u2019s had many an unofficial song in his long period between albums \u2014 Carti stays in his pocket. Produced by Jetsonmade, Neeko Baby, and Deskhop, \u201c@ MEH\u201d sounds like a Fisher-Price Fruity Loops jamboree as performed by a PlayStation 4.&nbsp; For the entirety of the under three-minute song, Carti lists everything he hates about \u201cPussy ass niggas.\u201d The list is long \u2014 they \u201cjust talk shit,\u201d in addition are not \u201c\u2019bout that shit,\u201d they don\u2019t know the real Carti, and, in conclusion, don\u2019t know who they\u2019re testing. There\u2019s no big reveal about who his adversaries are, or why he\u2019s so peeved at them.
