The five-track EP contains four songs that Williams previously released \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hayley-williams-boygenius-roses-lotus-violet-iris-969755\/\">\u201cRoses\/Lotus\/Iris\/Violet,\u201d<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hayley-williams-why-we-ever-985192\/\">\u201cWhy We Ever,\u201d<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hayley-williams-over-yet-single-977315\/\">\u201cOver Yet\u201d<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hayley-williams-my-friend-lyric-video-981066\/\"> \u201cMy Friend\u201d<\/a> \u2014 as well as a new track, \u201cDead Horse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>PFA II<\/em> is the perfect interlude between where <em>Petals<\/em> began and where it\u2019s going\u2026. <em>Part III<\/em> isn\u2019t far behind,\u201d Williams wrote in a statement. \u201cI needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms and discover what I desire for my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued: \u201cThe latest single, \u2018Dead Horse\u2019 offers strength back to a younger, weaker version of myself. I feel like all of this needed to be said in order to embody the kind of woman I hope to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams announced her solo project <em>Petals for Armor<\/em> back in January, and released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/paramore-hayley-williams-cinnamon-video-948730\/\">her first five-track EP<\/a> in February, including the tracks \u201cSimmer,\u201d \u201cCinnamon\u201d and \u201cLeave It Alone.\u201d She\u2019ll be releasing the full 15-song album (including <em>Petals for Armor<\/em>&nbsp;Part III) on May 8th.<\/p>\n<p>Due to ongoing travel and large gathering restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Williams\u2019 upcoming UK, European and North American tour dates are being rescheduled for 2021.
