{"id":806712,"date":"2020-04-23T08:51:20","date_gmt":"2020-04-23T14:51:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=988782"},"modified":"2020-04-23T08:51:20","modified_gmt":"2020-04-23T14:51:20","slug":"beyonce-details-6-million-covid-19-relief-effort","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/beyonce-details-6-million-covid-19-relief-effort\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyonc\u00e9 Details $6 Million COVID-19 Relief Effort"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Beyonce.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s BeyGOOD Foundation has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyonce.com\/beygood-offers-aid-during-covid19-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">announced a new initiative<\/a> to provide relief and assistance to essential workers during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/covid-19\/\" id=\"auto-tag_covid-19\" data-tag=\"covid-19\">COVID-19<\/a> pandemic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">BeyGOOD partnered with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey\u2019s Start Small fund and will provide $6 million to various organizations. \u201cIn our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis,\u201d the BeyGOOD Foundation said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">To assist its efforts, BeyGOOD has formed a national partnership with UCLA, which is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucla.edu\/stand-together\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">offering<\/a> a COVID-19 Care Package that \u201cincludes resources and tools designed to lift moods and ease anxiety and depression\u201d during the pandemic. BeyGOOD is also partnering with the National Alliance in Mental Illness to offer local support in Houston, New York, New Orleans and Detroit.
