J\u00f3nsi has returned with the meditative new song \u201cExhale,\u201d the Sigur R\u00f3s frontman\u2019s first new solo music in 10 years.<\/p>\n

The Icelandic singer teamed up with Giovanni Ribisi to direct the video, which features a dancer in a polyethylene tarp surrounded by fleeting, dark fabric that fills the air. \u201cIt\u2019s just the way it is\/It isn\u2019t your fault,\u201d J\u00f3nsi sings against scattered synths. \u201cIt isn\u2019t your\u2005fault\/Just\u2005let it go.\u201d<\/p>\n

J\u00f3nsi teamed up with A.G. Cook to produce the track, known for his collaborations with Charli XCX. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful to all the people who helped me get there,\u201d J\u00f3nsi wrote on his Instagram<\/a>. \u201cAlso wanted to remind everybody to \u2018Breathe in and Breathe out\u2019 and remember \u2018It\u2019s just the way it is, it isn\u2019t your fault, just let it go now.’\u201d<\/p>\n

J\u00f3nsi released his solo debut, Go,<\/em> in 2010. On May 1st, he\u2019ll drop Dark Morph II<\/em>, his second album with Swedish artist Carl Michael von Hausswolff. \u201cThe exploitation of the oceans, in conjunction with the heavy pollution (from plastic waste to nuclear radioactivity), has to stop and be replaced by collaborative manners cooperating with all life on our globe,\u201d the duo said in a statement.<\/p>\n

In 2019, J\u00f3nsi had his first solo art exhibition at Los Angeles\u2019 Tanya Bonakdar Gallery. Sigur R\u00f3s also celebrated the 20th anniversary of \u00c1gaetis byrjun<\/em><\/a> (A Good Beginning<\/em>) with a massive reissue. <\/a><\/p>\n
