Charli XCX<\/a> dropped a new pop gem, \u201cClaws,\u201d off her upcoming quarantine album, How I\u2019m Feeling Now<\/em><\/a>, out May 15th.<\/p>\n

Produced by 100 Gecs<\/a>\u2019 Dylan Brady, the electro-pop track centers around the chorus \u2014 \u201cI like everything about you\u201d \u2014 with tropical artwork<\/a> to match its lyrics: \u201cI\u2019m not shy, make you sigh\/Slip and slide up my thighs\/Juicy just like clementines\/Sorry if I make you cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cClaws\u201d follows the lead single \u201cForever<\/a>,\u201d released earlier this month. The song\u2019s video<\/a> featured a vast collection of XCX\u2019s personal photos and videos shot during quarantine.<\/p>\n

How I\u2019m Feeling Now<\/em> is a collaborative album Charli made with her fans; it was written and recorded during self-isolation during COVID-19<\/a>. \u201cFor me, staying positive goes hand-in-hand with being creative, and so that\u2019s why I\u2019ve decided that I\u2019m going to use this isolation time to make a brand new album from scratch,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe nature of this album is gonna be very indicative of the times, just because I\u2019m only gonna be able to use the tools that I have at my fingertips to create all music, all artwork, all videos, everything,\u201d she added. \u201cIn that sense, it\u2019ll be very DIY.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charli recently held her weekly Zoom conference for 1,000 fans, in which she answered questions about the making of the record\u2019s visuals accompanied by hosts Paris Hilton, Gia Gunn and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the pop star will appear at 100 Gecs\u2019 Square Garden, a digital festival inside the game Minecraft<\/em>. The lineup includes pop experimentalists like Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, A.G. Cook and others. <\/p>\n
