Alicia Keys<\/a> doles out a mix of motivation and gratitude on her new song, \u201cGood Job,\u201d set to appear on her forthcoming album, Alicia<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood Job\u201d is a classic Keys ballad that puts her piano and voice front-and-center, with a few atmospheric touches for good measure. \u201cYou\u2019re doing a good job,\u201d Keys sings during the chorus, \u201cDon\u2019t get too down\/The world needs you now\/Know that you matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per a press release<\/a> announcing the song earlier this week, Keys wrote \u201cGood Job\u201d last year with her husband, the producer Swizz Beatz, as well as the Dream and Avery Chambliss. The track was meant to pay tribute to unsung and overlooked everyday heroes in Keys\u2019 life and beyond, although its message obviously resonates even more now amid the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether you\u2019re on the frontlines at the hospitals, balancing work, family and homeschool teaching, delivering mail, packages, or food, or facing other personal difficulties because of COVID-19, I feel you,\u201d Keys said in the statement. \u201cYou are seen, loved and deeply appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGood Job\u201d marks the fourth offering from Alicia<\/i>, following \u201cShow Me Love,\u201d<\/a> \u201cTime Machine\u201d<\/a> and \u201cUnderdog.\u201d<\/a> The album was scheduled to arrive in May but has since been postponed because of COVID-19 (a new date has yet to be announced). At the end of March, Keys released her memoir<\/a>, More Myself: A Journey<\/i>.<\/p>\n
