The Killers<\/a> have unveiled their new single, \u201cFire in Bone.\u201d The song will appear on the band\u2019s upcoming album, Imploding the Mirage<\/em>, which was originally slated for release on May 29th via Island. The album \u201cwill be receiving a new release date in the coming weeks due to delays in finalizing the album,\u201d according to a statement. A new release date is forthcoming.<\/p>\n

On the quirky, funky new track, Brandon Flowers lists off things that feel \u201cFire in Bone\u201d: from feeling \u201cempty,\u201d \u201cwrung-out,\u201d \u201cunseen\u201d and \u201cpreyed upon,\u201d to feeling \u201cbig time\u201d and \u201cmajor league.\u201d It hones in on the need to appreciate those that are there to pick up the pieces, which seems particularly crucial in these times. \u201cWhen I came back empty-handed, you met me in the road,\u201d he sings. \u201cYou took me back home, after all that I took from you\/After all that I put you through.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the second song the group has shared from their new LP, after the release of lead single \u201cCaution<\/a>,\u201d which features Lindsey Buckingham. The follow-up to 2017\u2019s Wonderful Wonderful<\/em><\/a>, Imploding the Mirage<\/em> features Buckingham, Weyes Blood, K.D. Lang, War on Drugs\u2019 Adam Granducil, Blake Mills and Lucius. It was produced by Foxygen\u2019s Jonathan Rado and Shawn Everett.<\/p>\n

Following the release of their \u201cCaution\u201d video<\/a> in March, the group\u2019s Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. performed a stripped-down version<\/a> of the song while in a bathroom for Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s daily Quarantine Minilogue Friday.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the Killers will conduct a live Q&A and play songs via Instagram Live at 3 p.m. ET. Originally slated to take place last weekend, the band moved the date to perform during the One World: Together at Home<\/em><\/a> COVID-19 relief benefit livestream, where they delivered \u201cMr. Brightside\u201d and \u201cCaution.\u201d<\/p>\n
