When you get to that period as a band when you\u2019re huge, when you can\u2019t tell your friends from your enemies, people like Dennis and Lois are very important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anderson and Kahlert had their first date at New York\u2019s legendary venue CBGB in 1975, and have seen over 10,000 live shows since. They inspired a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OGHhn5daZbQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Happy Mondays song<\/a> and a <em>Spin<\/em> magazine comic strip. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WXGUgGocA2o\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">official trailer<\/a>, the couple describes going to four shows a week, sometimes three shows a day, for over 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>Cassidy filmed more than 550 hours of footage for the documentary, which contains praise from the couple\u2019s favorite artists, including the Smith\u2019s Andy Rourke, the Ramones, Happy Mondays\u2019 Paul Ryder, Stone Roses, Mekons, the Hold Steady\u2019s Craig Finn and more.<\/p>\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\" readability=\"10.324561403509\">\n<p class=\"css-exrw3m evys1bk0\">\u201cThey all became our children,\u201d Kahlert told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/07\/27\/nyregion\/dennis-and-lois-punk-rock.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>New York Times<\/em> <\/a>in 2017. \u201cWe became friends with the musicians because we\u2019re real people, not just groupies.
