In the latest installment of Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s In My Room<\/a> IGTV series, Shaggy<\/a> recruits \u2014 via video \u2014 recent collaborators Sting<\/a> and the Last Bandoleros<\/a>\u2019 Jerry Fuentes to perform alongside him for the reggae singer\u2019s three-song set.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shaggy first perfectly syncs himself to Sting \u2014 his cohort on their 2018 Grammy-winning collaborative LP 44\/876<\/em><\/a> \u2014 for an updated rendition of Shaggy\u2019s 2000 \u201cAngel of the Morning\u201d-via-Steve Miller Band hit mashup \u201cAngel,\u201d with Sting providing the chorus previously sung by Dusty Springfield, Juice Newton, Merrilee Rush, and countless others.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m telling everybody to stay inside. Make sure you stay quarantined,\u201d Shaggy says midway through the song. \u201cStay corona-free.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

With Fuentes dialed in via his computer screen on acoustic guitar, Shaggy launches into his breakout 2000 hit \u201cIt Wasn\u2019t Me\u201d before concluding the mini-set with an acoustic cover of Eddy Grant\u2019s \u201cElectric Avenue.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Shaggy also reminds fans that his new album, Hot Shot 2020<\/em>, is out June 12th; the LP features a new rendition of \u201cIt Wasn\u2019t Me\u201d featuring Rayvon.<\/span><\/p>\n
