With the new safer-at-home restrictions, businesses are allowed to deliver goods to customers via curbside pickup.<\/strong><br \/><em>Jason Connolly \/ jconnolly@summitdaily.com<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>DILLON \u2014 Summit County has further loosened restrictions on businesses by allowing nonessential retail shops to begin scheduling appointments for individual in-person shopping Friday, May 1.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, April 27, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/summit-county-requires-businesses-to-submit-plans-for-social-distancing\/\">nonessential retail establishments were permitted to reopen to sell products<\/a> via delivery, window service or curbside pickup. This new addition allows for limited in-person shopping, which Lua T\u00f4n, owner of Colisco Wearables and The Flying Crane Boutique in Frisco, said will \u201cget the ball rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>T\u00f4n said she was interested in opening her shop to appointments for one customer to come in at a time. She has been using an online business model since the start of the shutdown but said her store typically depends on visitors walking down Main Street. However, she said she has had some business from locals as well as out-of-town clients, to whom she is shipping products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of locals here, they make a point to shop local, and we really appreciate that,\u201d T\u00f4n said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col\" readability=\"6\">\n<div class=\"row sd-donation sd-donation-mobile p-0\" readability=\"7\">\n<div class=\"col-xl-4 p-2\">\n<div data-bg=\"url(https:\/\/cdn.summitdaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/SDN-logo-white-1.png)\" class=\"p-0 mt-2 mb-2 h-75 text-center rocket-lazyload\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.summitdaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/SDN-logo-white-1.png\" class=\"logo m-0 p-0 invisible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><h3 class=\"d-inline mr-3\">Support Local Journalism<\/h3>\n<p><button class=\"btn d-inline\" type=\"button\" onclick=\"handleDonationButtonClickMidArticle()\">Donate<\/button><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>T\u00f4n said she doesn\u2019t think allowing scheduled shopping visits will make much of a difference to the economy on Main Street but said it could be a good start.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to start somewhere,\u201d T\u00f4n said. \u201cOne thing at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next Page Books &amp; Nosh owner Lisa Holenko said she plans to talk to her staff to make sure they are comfortable before deciding whether they will allow limited in-person shopping. She said that if no one is strongly opposed to the idea, she plans to allow for appointments with necessary precautions, such as the use of facial coverings. Holenko said the bookstore is providing curbside pickup and delivery options, as well.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While noncritical retail stores and personal service businesses \u2014&nbsp;such as salons and tattoo parlors \u2014 are allowed limited openings beginning Friday, the county is requiring all businesses to complete the <a href=\"http:\/\/summitcountyco.gov\/DocumentCenter\/View\/28123\/Business-SD-Protocol_Fillable?bidId=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Summit County Business Social Distancing Protocol form<\/a><i class=\"fas fa-external-link-alt\"><\/i>, which is meant to outline the businesses\u2019 plan for social distancing and other health measures.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses that are currently open must complete the form and post it at the establishment and on the establishment\u2019s website, if there is one, by Friday, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitcountyco.gov\/DocumentCenter\/View\/28134\/Amended-PHO-April-28-Final\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">latest public health order<\/a><i class=\"fas fa-external-link-alt\"><\/i>. Businesses that are not currently open must complete and post the form prior to opening.
