The Rolling Stones<\/a> have announced their Extra Licks weekly livestream series, featuring bonus footage from six concert films from throughout the band\u2019s career.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series \u2014 released as part of YouTube\u2019s #StayHome campaign \u2014 will kick off May 3rd at 3 p.m. ET with extra footage from the band\u2019s 2016 concert film Ol\u00e9 Ol\u00e9 Ol\u00e9!: A Trip Across Latin America<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Each featurette over the six-week series is being made available digitally for the first time. One week\u2019s installment will also focus on the 1994 tour in support of Voodoo Lounge, the band stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rolling Stones recently dropped their surprise new single \u201cLiving in a Ghost Town<\/a>,\u201d their first original composition since \u201cDoom and Gloom\u201d and \u201cOne More Shot\u201d off the 2012 compilation album GRRR!<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t written for now, but it was just one of those odd things,\u201d Keith Richards said of the track. \u201cIt was written about being in a place that was full of life but is now bereft of life, so to speak\u2026I was just jamming on the guitar and wrote it really quickly in like 10 minutes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The socially distanced Stones also appeared together \u2014 via video \u2014 to perform \u201cYou Can\u2019t Always Get What You Want<\/a>\u201d for the Together at Home COVID-19<\/a> relief special.<\/span><\/p>\n
