The organization&#8217;s summer programming has been canceled.<\/strong><br \/><em>Courtesy Andy Tennille<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>BRECKERIDGE \u2014 Two months after announcing its <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/breckenridge-music-announces-summer-lineup\/\" target=\"_blank\">lineup<\/a>, Breckenridge Music has canceled all programming through Aug. 22 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The summer season would have included five contemporary concerts by acts such as&nbsp;Drive-By Truckers and Patty Griffin along with a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/breckmusic.org\/events\/2020\/festival-welcome-party\" target=\"_blank\">multiday classical festival<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/breckmusic.org\/events\/seasonannouncement\">a letter<\/a> written by Executive Director Tamara Nuzzaci Park, festival artists still will be compensated. Purchased tickets can either be fully refund, donated as a tax-deductible contribution or a combination of\u00a0the two.<\/p>\n<p>The letter also stated that Breck Music &#8220;will find responsible, practical and inventive ways to connect you with the experience of music in Breckenridge in an era of social distancing&#8221; via virtual events that are in the planning stages.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the cancellation of the nonprofit\u2019s fundraising gala, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/breckmusic.org\/events\/2020\/bourbon-street-boogie\" target=\"_blank\">Bourbon Street Boogie<\/a>, Breck Music is requesting donors make their annual <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/tickets.breckcreate.org\/online\/donationDetails.asp?gift_id=CAD73CB3-361F-451E-BB7B-C3F8BA5EE284\" target=\"_blank\">Applause contributions<\/a> to support the organization.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/breckenridge-music-cancels-summer-2020-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Summit Daily<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Drive-By Truckers was set to start Breckenridge Music&#8217;s season with a performance Saturday, July 11.
