Kathleen Hanna has joined Cameo<\/a> \u2014 the service that lets fans pay celebs for a custom message \u2014 just in time for Mother\u2019s Day. \u201cHi! I just joined this platform called Cameo where you can get me to sing \u2018Happy Birthday\u2019 or send a message to a friend or do a Mother\u2019s Day thing,\u201d she said in her announcement video Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole reason I\u2019m doing it is to give money to my favorite nonprofit, Peace Sisters<\/a>,\u201d she added. \u201cEach time you pay me to make you a little video, a girl will go to school in Togo, West Africa. So I don\u2019t know! I\u2019m going to give this a try.\u201d Her videos are a steal for $40 a pop.<\/p>\n

Hanna\u2019s band Bikini Kill<\/a> was set to reunite once more for a tour this spring, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the dates have been postponed until November<\/a>. Hanna previously spoke with Rolling Stone<\/em> about the pioneering Riot Grrrl band\u2019s reunification, as well playing music in the age of President Trump. \u201cSince Trump was elected, there\u2019ve been all these times when the news is on and I\u2019m singing a Bikini Kill song in my head,\u201d Hanna said<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s like I need to hear these songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, on Cameo, more and more stars have joined during the COVID-19 era, from Tiger King<\/em> cast members to Breaking Bad<\/em>\u2018s Dean Norris (Hank)<\/a>, who is donating all proceeds to the Children\u2019s Performing Arts Foundation.<\/p>\n
