Sheryl Crow<\/a> performed an intimate rendition of George Harrison<\/a>\u2019s \u201cBeware of Darkness\u201d on The Late Show<\/a><\/em> Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you, Stephen Colbert<\/a>,\u201d Crow tells the camera, sitting at her piano. \u201cThere, I said it. I\u2019m going to play you guys a song called \u2018Beware of Darkness\u2019 from George Harrison, one of my favorite artists of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crow launched into the All Things Must Pass<\/em> track, singing its comforting opening lines: \u201cWatch out now, take care\/Beware of falling swingers\/Dropping all around you\/The pain that often mingles\/In your fingertips.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crow recently paid tribute to the late Bill Withers with a cover of \u201cLonely Town, Lonely Street<\/a>\u201d with Citizen Cope, noting that Withers\u2019 death was \u201ca heavy blow, on top of the challenges we\u2019re all facing just trying to live day to day right now,\u201d she said. \u201cTimes like these remind us about what\u2019s really important in life \u2014 love, family, living life in harmony with each other and our planet. Bill\u2019s music was about that, and so much more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Crow sat down for a Rolling Stone<\/em> Interview<\/a> with Senior Writer Brian Hiatt to discuss Threads<\/a><\/em>, her recent \u2014 and most likely last \u2014 full-length record. \u201cThis album, for me, was about as emotional of a project as I\u2019ve ever made,\u201d she said. \u201cSo emotional, it\u2019s hard to talk about it sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n
