{"id":807201,"date":"2020-05-07T10:24:48","date_gmt":"2020-05-07T16:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=995394"},"modified":"2020-05-07T10:24:48","modified_gmt":"2020-05-07T16:24:48","slug":"paul-weller-is-happy-at-home-in-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/paul-weller-is-happy-at-home-in-village\/","title":{"rendered":"Paul Weller Is Happy at Home in \u2018Village\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/1582657339PaulWeller2.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/paul-weller\/\" id=\"auto-tag_paul-weller\" data-tag=\"paul-weller\">Paul Weller<\/a> released \u201cVillage\u201d Thursday, the new single from his upcoming album <em>On Sunset<\/em>, out June 19th on Verve Forecast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere I am, 10 stories high\/Not a single cloud in my eye,\u201d the former Jam frontman sings in the opening lines, against sunny, laidback instrumentation. \u201cNot a thing I\u2019d change if I could\/I\u2019m happy here in my neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a response to being told that we\u2019ve all got to explore the Amazon and climb Everest to make our lives complete,\u201d Weller said in a statement. \u201cAnd there\u2019s a guy who says, \u2018Fuck all that, I\u2019ve got heaven around me.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVillage\u201d follows the lead single \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/paul-weller-new-song-earth-beat-on-sunset-969076\/\">Earth Beat,<\/a>\u201d which featured R&amp;B artist Col3trane.
