A day after Guns N\u2019 Roses\u2019 \u201cLive and Let Die\u201d blared<\/a> as Donald Trump toured an Arizona factory, Axl Rose<\/a> turned to Twitter to castigate the administration\u2019s Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s official! Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin he\u2019s officially an asshole,\u201d Rose tweeted<\/a> Wednesday afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what prompted Rose to specifically lash out at Mnuchin, but as The Hill notes<\/a>, the Treasury Secretary did appear on Fox Business earlier this week to discuss when Americans will be able to fly internationally again. He said it was too soon to tell when international flights would resume, but said of domestic travel: \u201cAs the economy opens up, I think you\u2019ll see demand coming back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor businesspeople who need to travel, there will be travel on a limited basis,\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great time for people to explore America,\u201d he added, which could be the source of Rose\u2019s ire. \u201cA lot of people haven\u2019t seen many parts of America. I wish I could get back on the road soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soon after Rose\u2019s tweet, Mnuchin took a break from his PPP-related duties to respond to Rose, \u201cWhat have you done for the country lately?\u201d followed by an emoji of the flag of Liberia. After being widely mocked by Twitter users, the tweet was then deleted and replaced<\/a> with one bearing the same question and an American flag emoji.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rose, catching the Liberia gaffe, tweeted back<\/a>, \u201cMy bad I didn\u2019t get we\u2019re hoping 2 emulate Liberia\u2019s economic model but on the real unlike this admin I\u2019m not responsible for 70k+ deaths n\u2019 unlike u I don\u2019t hold a fed gov position of responsibility 2 the American people n\u2019 go on TV tellin them 2 travel the US during a pandemic.\u201d<\/span> Neither side has reignited the Twitter feud at press time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rose is a sporadic Twitter user, but when he does tweet, it\u2019s usually to criticize Trump or, more recently, the administration\u2019s response to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cQ: If the Sheriffs can choose not to enforce the beach closures can the hospitals \u2018choose\u2019 not to admit any possible Covid-19 suspected beach goers? Just askin\u2019\u2026,\u201d Rose wrote in response to people ignoring social distancing measures.<\/span><\/p>\n
