Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>\u2019s \u201cSavage\u201d remix, which features verses from Beyonc\u00e9, claimed Number One on the latest<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> Top 100 Songs chart. \u201cSavage,\u201d which has become enormously popular on TikTok, hung out in the Top Ten for all of April. The addition of Beyonc\u00e9 helped the single earn more than 26 million streams, good enough to jump to the top of the chart. The presence of Beyonc\u00e9 had a similarly galvanizing impact on radio programmers: The \u201cSavage\u201d remix jumped from Number Five to Number One on rap radio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Megan Thee Stallion wasn\u2019t the only artist pulling from the remix playbook: Doja Cat<\/a>\u2019s \u201cSay So,\u201d another enormously popular TikTok record, jumped to Number Two on the latest<\/span> RS<\/span><\/em> 100 thanks to a new Nicki Minaj<\/a> verse. Minaj adds a double-time rap to Doja Cat\u2019s breezy disco revival; \u201cSay So\u201d amassed more than 19 million streams. <\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> Top 100 chart tracks the most popular songs of the week in the United States. Songs are ranked by song units, a number that combines audio streams and song sales using a custom weighting system. The chart does not include passive listening like terrestrial radio or digital radio. The<\/span> Rolling Ston<\/span><\/em>e Top 100 chart is updated daily, and each week<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> finalizes and publishes an official version of the chart, covering the seven-day period ending with the previous Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Outside of the Top Two, Drake owned the<\/span> RS<\/span><\/em> 100 with new songs from<\/span> Dark Lane Demo Tapes<\/span><\/em> project. He accounted for half of the Top Ten and 11 of the Top 20; every new song on<\/span> Dark Lane Demo Tapes<\/span><\/em> debuted in the Top 25. The leader was \u201cPain 1993,\u201d a low-slung collaboration with a chirping Playboi Carti, followed by \u201cChicago Freestyle,\u201d which pays homage to Eminem<\/a>\u2019s \u201cSuperman\u201d and also incorporates vocals from Giveon, a young singer signed to Epic Records. <\/span><\/p>\n

On the lower reaches of the Top 100, another TikTok record is starting its climb: Melanie Martinez\u2019s \u201cPlay Date.\u201d The song originally came out way back in 2015; it was earning around 350,000 to 400,000 audio streams a week through the beginning of April, according to the analytics company Alpha Data. Once TikTok users latched on to the track, audio streams jumped to 1.2 million, than 3.5 million, than 4.2 million. \u201cPlay Date\u201d is now at Number 87 on the latest<\/span> RS<\/span><\/em> 100.<\/span><\/p>\n
