Other guests on the album include 2 Chainz on \u201cOut of Sight,\u201d Pharrell Williams and Rage Against the Machine\u2019s Zack de la Rocha on \u201cJu$t\u201d and Mavis Staples and Josh Homme on \u201cPulling the Pin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Run the Jewels primarily recorded <em>RTJ4<\/em> at Rick Rubin\u2019s Shangri-La Studios and Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The group first teased the record with the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hear-run-the-jewels-hard-hitting-new-single-the-yankee-and-the-brave-971119\/\">\u201cThe Yankee and the Brave\u201d<\/a> in March, followed soon after by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/run-the-jewels-new-song-ooh-la-la-973031\/\">\u201cOoh La La.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The four-year gap between <em>Run the Jewels 3<\/em> and <em>4<\/em> marks the longest stretch in between albums for El-P and Killer Mike. The pair first teamed in 2012 when El-P produced Killer Mike\u2019s solo album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/killer-mike-r-a-p-music-49057\/\"><em>R.A.P. Music<\/em><\/a>, while the following year they made their debut as Run the Jewels with their first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/run-the-jewels-121544\/\">self-titled record<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/run-the-jewels-2-80986\/\">follow-up<\/a> arrived in 2014, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-run-the-jewels-expand-protest-rap-palette-on-run-the-jewels-3-114950\/\"><em>RTJ3<\/em><\/a> was released in 2016.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Run the Jewels was supposed to open for Rage Against the Machine on their 2020 reunion tour, although those dates were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/rage-against-the-machine-reschedule-reunion-tour-2021-993233\/\">rescheduled for 2021<\/a> due to the coronavirus pandemic.
