Joy Division<\/a> will mark the 40th anniversary of their landmark 1980 album Closer<\/em> with a new vinyl reissue, as well as the rerelease of three rare 12\u2033 singles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Closer<\/em> reissue, pressed on \u201ccrystal clear\u201d vinyl, arrives on July 17th via Rhino, which<\/span> previously reissued Joy Division\u2019s 1979 debut Unknown Pleasures<\/em> on vinyl in 2019 to mark that album\u2019s 40th anniversary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three long-out-of-print Factory Records 12\u2033 singles \u2014 \u201cTransmission,\u201d \u201cAtmosphere\u201d and their classic \u201cLove Will Tear Us Apart,\u201d which similarly celebrates its 40th anniversary on June 27th \u2014 will also be reissued for the first time, with each single repressed on 180-gram vinyl in sleeves that preserve the original single artwork. The three singles will also be released on July 17th.<\/span><\/p>\n
