New Order<\/a>\u2019s Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris will reminisce about their Joy Division<\/a> singer Ian Curtis<\/a> during a livestream event taking place Monday, May 18th \u2014 the 40th anniversary of Curtis\u2019 death.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moving Through the Silence: Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Ian Curtis<\/a> will also feature an appearance by the Killers\u2019 Brandon Flowers<\/a>, who will speak about Curtis\u2019 influence on his music, as well as performances by artists like Elbow and Kodaline. Additionally, performers will be revealed Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The interviews with Sumner and Morris highlights the \u201ctwo hours of live and exclusive conversation, music and poetry,\u201d organizers Headstock said of the event, which also includes appearances by actress and fellow Mancunian Maxine Peake and Curtis\u2019 friend Mark Reeder.<\/span><\/p>\n

The livestream will occur at both United We Stream\u2019s website<\/a> and Facebook page<\/a>; donations raised during the event will benefit the mental health charity Manchester Mind, Nordoff Robins and the Mayor of Greater Manchester\u2019s Charity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier Wednesday, Rhino revealed plans to reissue<\/a> Joy Division\u2019s second and final LP Closer<\/em>, as well as repressing three Factory Records 12\u2033 singles for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n
