Bill Murray<\/a> is handling the COVID-19<\/a> pandemic \u2014 and the necessity of face masks \u2014 with a sense of humor.<\/p>\n

The actor appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em><\/a> this week wearing a giant panda mask at his breakfast table, saying it was out of respect for \u201cPresident Cuomo,\u201d a.k.a. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has urged everyone in his state to wear a mask outside.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I hear President Cuomo say [that] if I don\u2019t wear a mask, I\u2019m disrespecting you, I figure I should wear a mask,\u201d Murray said. \u201cI\u2019m not so much worried about my own health, or whether I make it out, as I\u2019ve already lived a full life. But there\u2019s been a lot of people that would really like to go a little deeper in this century, and I don\u2019t wanna mess it up for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Murray was on the show to discuss the newest Ghostbusters<\/em> film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em>, which features almost everyone from the original film\u2019s cast. Later, Murray talked about his participation in Guy Fieri\u2019s Nacho Average Challenge to raise money for the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF).<\/p>\n
