Beach Bunny<\/a> played a moving socially distanced two-song set for latest installment of Rolling Ston<\/em>e\u2019s In My Room<\/a><\/em>, a series in which artists perform from home while in quarantine.<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s lead singer and songwriter Lili Trifilio kicked off the set with \u201cDream Boy,\u201d a highlight from the band\u2019s debut LP Honeymoon<\/em> , by recording separate vocal and guitar takes accompanied by her three bandmates from their respective homes. Afterwards, Trifilio performed a sparse solo acoustic version of \u201cProm Queen,\u201d the band\u2019s breakthrough 2018 viral hit.<\/p>\n

Over the past few years, Beach Bunny has gained a rapidly-growing following in and around their Chicago hometown with their blend of breezy garage-pop and probing emo-folk. \u201cIt\u2019s interesting, to be singing the word \u2018cry\u2019 or singing a really sad lyric,\u201d Trifilio told<\/a> Rolling Stone<\/em> earlier this year, but I\u2019m just trying to open up the mosh pit,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Beach Bunny\u2019s In My Room<\/em> segment follows performances by Cherry Glazerr<\/a> Squirrel Flower,<\/a> Hop Along\u2019s Frances Quinlan<\/a>, Sting<\/a>, Joan Jett<\/a>, Lucinda Williams<\/a>, Waxahatchee,<\/a> and others.
