Gender is over in Seth Bogart<\/a>\u2019s new song \u201cBoys Who Don\u2019t Wanna Be Boys,\u201d which arrived with a video featuring cameos from Kate Berlant, John Early, RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em> star Tammie Brown, JD Samson, Brooke Candy and San Cha. The song will appear on Bogart\u2019s upcoming album, Men on the Verge of Nothing<\/em><\/a>, out June 26th on the musician\u2019s own Wacky Wacko label.<\/p>\n

Crispy snares and guitar feedback open the punk-tinged track as Bogart sings languidly, \u201cBoys\/who don\u2019t wanna be boys\/Boys\/who don\u2019t wanna be boys.\u201d Bogart, per usual, undulates in just a leather jacket and black briefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoys\u201d is Bogart\u2019s first new song in four years; the former Hunx and His Punx frontman started releasing music under his name in 2016 when he dropped his self-titled debut solo album. Men on the Verge of Nothing<\/em> will also feature a cover of X-Ray Spex\u2019s \u201cOh Bondage Up Yours!\u201d and contributions from Bikini Kill\u2019s Kathleen Hanna and Tobi Vail, Kate Nash, Roxanne Clifford (Patience, Veronica Falls) and Alana Amram (Hunx and His Punx\/Habibi). The title is a play on the 1988 Pedro Almod\u00f3var black comedy Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown<\/em>.<\/p>\n
