Carly Rae Jepsen<\/a> has surprised fans with the new album Dedicated: Side B<\/em>. The project is a companion piece to her 2019 album Dedicated<\/em>, featuring some of the hundreds of songs that did not make the LP\u2019s final cut. <\/p>\n

Dedicated: Side B c<\/em>locks in at 12 songs and features writing credits from Jack Antonoff<\/a>, Ariel Rechtshaid, Dev Hynes, John Hill and more. Antonoff\u2019s band Bleachers are also credited on the song \u201cComeback.\u201d On Twitter, Jepsen acknowledged some of the fan \u201cwhispers\u201d of Side B<\/em>\u2018s imminent release. \u201cI hope it makes yah dance your pants off,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI owe yah one\u2026or like two albums turns out. ;)\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the second time Jepsen has released a Side B<\/em> to one of her albums. A year after debuting 2015\u2019s Emotion<\/em>, she released the nine-song EP Emotion: Side B<\/em>. The prolific songwriter is known for writing hundreds of songs during the recording process of each album, and the Side B <\/em>projects offer up a taste of the tunes left on the cutting room floor.<\/p>\n

Jepsen released her fourth studio album Dedicated <\/em>in May last year. She began touring in support of the album soon after its release and was due out on the road in April, although those dates have either been canceled or postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. She released a few solo songs and collaborations while on the road, including an appearance on Y2K\u2019s \u201cLalala (Remix)\u201d alongside Enrique Iglesias and the pre-Valentine\u2019s Day brush-off \u201cLet\u2019s Be Friends<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
