{"id":807745,"date":"2020-05-22T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-22T21:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/?p=383743"},"modified":"2020-05-22T15:30:00","modified_gmt":"2020-05-22T21:30:00","slug":"2020-primary-ballots-to-be-sent-june-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/local-news\/2020-primary-ballots-to-be-sent-june-8\/","title":{"rendered":"2020 primary ballots to be sent June 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"24.222135619641\">\n<div class=\"swift-infobox alignleft\" readability=\"4.6103542234332\">\n<div class=\"module module-promo card shadow-sm\" readability=\"7.6839237057221\">\n<p>Summit County commissioner candidates<\/p>\n<div class=\"card-body\" readability=\"8.1580547112462\">Democrats Thomas Davidson, District 2, and Karn Stiegelmeier, District 3, are term limited. <strong>District 1:&nbsp;<\/strong>Breckenridge<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elisabeth Lawrence, D (incumbent)<\/li>\n<li>Allen Bacher, R<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>District 2:&nbsp;<\/strong>Dillon and Frisco <strong>District 3:<\/strong>&nbsp;Silverthorne <a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.summit.co.us\/DocumentCenter\/View\/14\/Commissioner-Districts-9-2012t?bidId=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">View Summit County district maps here.<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Summit County voters should expect to receive mail-in ballots for this year\u2019s primary election on the week of June 8.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.summit.co.us\/DocumentCenter\/View\/28346\/2020-Primary-Election_Summit_Sample-Ballot_REP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Republican<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.summit.co.us\/DocumentCenter\/View\/28347\/2020-Primary-Election_Summit_Sample-Ballot_DEM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Democrat<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.summit.co.us\/DocumentCenter\/View\/28348\/2020-Primary-Election_Summit_Sample-Ballot_LBR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Libertarian<\/a> and unaffiliated ballots will include candidates running for U.S. senator, state senator, state representative, county commissioner and district attorney.<\/p>\n<p>Voters will receive the ballot that aligns with their party. Unaffiliated voters will receive both a Republican and Democrat ballot with instructions to vote and only return one of the ballots, according to a news release from the county clerk\u2019s office. Neither of the ballots will be counted if both are returned.<\/p>\n<p>The county clerk\u2019s office encourages voters to visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.state.co.us\/voter\/pages\/pub\/home.xhtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">govotecolorado.gov<\/a> to confirm their address and check their voter record.
