The long-anticipated collaboration between Lady Gaga<\/a> and mega-popular K-pop group Blackpink<\/a> is finally here. \u201cSour Candy,\u201d from Gaga\u2019s upcoming album Chromatica<\/em>, dropped on Thursday morning, providing a sugar-sweet club track for all our at-home parties.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sour candy, so sweet then I get a little angry,\u201d Jennie and Lisa of Blackpink<\/a> rap on the opening verse. \u201cI\u2019m super psycho, make you crazy\u2005when I turn the lights low.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Gaga reiterates in the chorus, the track is about being like, well, sour candy \u2014 \u201chard on the outside,\u201d but open to love and affection when given a little time, so long as Gaga\u2019s partner doesn\u2019t expect a complete transformation. (Jennie sings in Korean, \u201cIf you wanna fix me, then let\u2019s break up here and now.\u201d)<\/p>\n

Rumors of Gaga\u2019s collaboration with Blackpink have circulated since March when Target accidentally leaked the Chromatica<\/em> tracklist on their website; Gaga later confirmed the tracklist and collaborations on April 21st. \u201cI wanted to celebrate them because they love powerful women like us, and they also wanted to celebrate me, and we had a great time together with this song,\u201d Gaga told<\/a> Japanese outlet TV Groove. \u201cI was excited to hear them interpret the song in Korean, and told them that the part was so creative and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chromatica<\/em>, originally scheduled for release on April 10th but delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is now dropping Friday, May 29th. Gaga has shared lead single \u201cStupid Love,\u201d along with \u201cRain on Me,\u201d her collaboration with Ariana Grande<\/a>. The latter received a sci-fi music video<\/a> directed by Robert Rodriguez. The 16-song Chromatica<\/em> will also feature a collaboration<\/a> with Elton John<\/a>.<\/p>\n
