The LP is the artist\u2019s first studio album since 2016\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Joanne<\/em>, and her first new music release since the soundtrack to 2018\u2019s&nbsp;<em>A Star Is Born<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Intended as a celebration of house, techno and other genres of electronic dance music,&nbsp;<em>Chromatica<\/em> saw Gaga collaborating with producers known for their EDM work, such as Skrillex, BloodPop, Burns, Axwell and Tchami, as well as hitmaking powerhouses like Max Martin.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rebelltitem18\" class=\"rebellt-item is--desktop col1\" data-id=\"18\" data-is-image=\"False\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.papermag.com\/lady-gaga-chromatica-2645479910.html?rebelltitem=18#rebelltitem18\" data-published-at=\"1586447900\" data-basename=\"particle-18\" data-post-id=\"2645479910\" readability=\"24.081632653061\">\n<p>\u201cI will do whatever it takes to make the world dance and smile,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.papermag.com\/lady-gaga-chromatica-2645479910.html?rebelltitem=19#rebelltitem19\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">told<\/a> <em>Paper<\/em> magazine in March. \u201cI want to put out a record that forces people to rejoice even in their saddest moments. And by the way, I\u2019m not standing over here with a flag going, \u2018I\u2019m all healed, everything\u2019s perfect.\u2019 It\u2019s not; it\u2019s a fight all the time. I still work on myself constantly. I have bad days, I have good days. Yeah, I live in <em>Chromatica<\/em>, it took a minute to get here, but that doesn\u2019t mean I don\u2019t remember what happened. So if you\u2019re in pain and listening to this music, just know that I know what it\u2019s like to be in pain.
