Tones and I<\/a> gets into character \u2014 or 20 \u2014 for her new music video<\/a>, \u201cUr So F**king Cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the new single, the Australian singer-producer describes the various efforts people make to appear cooler than they really are \u2014 getting addicted to social media, acting extra pretentious, etc. \u2014 while in the video she portrays a whole host of outlandish characters doing just that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWalk into a party feeling out of place\/Everyone\u2019s too cool, everyone\u2019s too fake,\u201d Tones sings as the clip shows her real self walking into a dark, clubby function. Eventually, Tones leaves the party in an Uber, driven by \u2014 you guessed it \u2014 a prosthetic-wearing version of herself.<\/p>\n

Tones and I released the chart-topping single \u201cDance Monkey\u201d last year; it has since become the most-streamed song by a female artist on Spotify. She shared<\/a> two singles, \u201cCan\u2019t Be Happy All the Time\u201d and \u201cBad Child,\u201d back in March, marking her first new music releases since her 2019 EP, The Kids Are Coming<\/em>. She later released music<\/a> videos<\/a> for both singles later in the spring.<\/p>\n

Tones was originally scheduled to tour in the United States in spring and summer 2020, but the live dates were suspended this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n
