Crowded House<\/a> frontman and current Fleetwood Mac<\/a> member Neil Finn<\/a> has enlisted the help of his bandmates Stevie Nicks<\/a> and Christine McVie<\/a> for a new song, \u201cFind Your Way Back Home.\u201d<\/p>\n

The track was released in partnership with the homeless shelter Auckland City Mission, based in Finn\u2019s native New Zealand, which will soon celebrate the 100th anniversary of its founding.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are all these people in all of our lives, I think, that we drift away from,\u201d Finn told the New Zealand Herald<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThere was a story there, that was a connection that I made. It just puts it in your backyard. I live in a pretty fortunate situation, and I move in circles that are not in daily contact with homeless people. So, it\u2019s good to be able to find a pathway in your head to relate to some degree.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFind Your Way Back Home\u201d features guest vocals from Nicks and a co-writing credit for McVie, who Finn asked to help pen the song while on tour with Fleetwood Mac<\/a>. \u201cI guess I had every incentive to make sure that the words were evocative, simple, relatable, truthful and not crass or message-y,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s easy to be nebulous and abstract, and I\u2019m quite good at that in my songs generally. So, to be direct in a way is a real challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicks stated she was \u201chonored to be a part of Neil\u2019s song for the Auckland City Mission. He is on a mission to make this work, and I think this beautiful song he has written will certainly help.\u201d<\/p>\n
