Low Cut Connie<\/a> has released \u201cWhat Has Happened to Me,\u201d a piano-grunge dirge that finds the band exploring sex and religion.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a heavy song for me,\u201d the band\u2019s frontman Adam Weiner says. \u201cVery freeing. A lot of wild shit happened over the last few years and I just kind of let it all hang out with that one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat Has Happened to Me\u201d is second single the Philadelphia rock & roll collective has released from the band\u2019s upcoming double-album, Private Lives<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In his nightly livestreams, Weiner has spent the past week reflecting on the ongoing nationwide Black Lives Matter protests, performing everything from Bob Dylan\u2019s \u201cThe Times They Are a-Changin’\u201d to \u201cAmerican Skin (41 Shots),\u201d the 2000 Bruce Springsteen song written about Amadou Diallo, who was shot 41 times and killed by the NYPD the previous year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I see right now, all over this world, is that in so many ways we are united,\u201d Weiner said during his livestream. \u201cPrejudice is old school: It\u2019s done. It\u2019s gotta be behind us.\u201d<\/p>\n
