{"id":808275,"date":"2020-06-11T11:00:44","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T17:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=1013577"},"modified":"2020-06-11T11:00:44","modified_gmt":"2020-06-11T17:00:44","slug":"preservation-hall-jazz-band-taps-dave-grohl-elvis-costello-for-livestream-benefit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/preservation-hall-jazz-band-taps-dave-grohl-elvis-costello-for-livestream-benefit\/","title":{"rendered":"Preservation Hall Jazz Band Taps Dave Grohl, Elvis Costello for Livestream Benefit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/elvis-costello-dave-grohl.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/preservation-hall-jazz-band\/\" id=\"auto-tag_preservation-hall-jazz-band\" data-tag=\"preservation-hall-jazz-band\">Preservation Hall Jazz Band<\/a> has enlisted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/dave-grohl\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dave-grohl\" data-tag=\"dave-grohl\">Dave Grohl<\/a>, Elvis Costello and others for \u201c\u2018Round Midnight Preserves,\u201d a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/livestream\/\" id=\"auto-tag_livestream\" data-tag=\"livestream\">livestream<\/a> benefit concert set for June 20th.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band\u2019s Ben Jaffe and directed by photographer Danny Clinch, the event will feature live performances as well as archived performances and interviews. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/beck\/\" id=\"auto-tag_beck\" data-tag=\"beck\">Beck<\/a>, Dave Matthews, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/jim-james\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jim-james\" data-tag=\"jim-james\">Jim James<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/nathaniel-rateliff\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nathaniel-rateliff\" data-tag=\"nathaniel-rateliff\">Nathaniel Rateliff<\/a>, Irma Thomas, Jon Batiste, PJ Morton are also featured on the lineup.<\/p>\n<p>The concert was inspired by the \u201cMidnight Preserves\u201d series at the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, created by Jaffe in 2012. \u201cEvery year we look forward to Midnight Preserves as a way to connect with our fans and old friends,\u201d Jaffe said in a statement. \u201cJust about everyone I\u2019m friends with today I\u2019ve met through music or a musical collaboration that came out of Midnight Preserves. It\u2019s a blessing to have met so many incredible humans and to have shared our stage and their stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The concert will stream on the Preservation Hall Foundation\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.preshallfoundation.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> at 9 pm E.T., as well as on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. Virtual admission is free, but Spotify will match donations up to $10 million towards its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/covid-19\/\" id=\"auto-tag_covid-19\" data-tag=\"covid-19\">COVID-19<\/a> Music Relief fund.
