Motorists should anticipate delays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">And, beginning Tuesday, motorists and trail users should anticipate short, intermittent holds and delays on the bridge, as well as on South Grand Avenue and on Atkinson Trail near the construction area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cThe lane closure and holds are for construction access as crews clear the grub and trees, remove street light poles and trench for utility work in preparation for construction on the new, separated pedestrian bridge which will be built to the north of the current bridge,\u201d according to the release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Motorists should plan ahead for delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area, especially during peak times from 6:30-9 a.m. and 4-7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Business access in the vicinity is to remain open, and motorists are advised to follow flagger instructions and construction signage.<\/p>\n<div id=\"single-mid-script\" class=\"p402_hide\">\n<h2>Recommended Stories For You<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">COMMUNITY INFO MEETING FEB. 5<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The public is invited to join the project team for a community information meeting about the 27th Street Bridge project from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">There will be a short presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session to learn more about the project, including timeline, work activities and traffic and river impacts.
