What we\u2019ll see is called a super blood wolf moon, and it\u2019s a combination of several phenomena that occur fairly rarely on their own.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first super moon of the year, which is when the moon appears slightly bigger than normal due to its proximity to the Earth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlood\u201d refers to the red color that occurs with lunar eclipses, and a wolf moon is simply the nickname given to the moon in January. According to Native American myth, the moon would appear when hungry wolves were howling.<\/p>\n<p>The lunar eclipse will begin at 7:36 p.m., reach total eclipse at 9:41, hit maximum eclipse at 10:12 and will be all wrapped up by 12:48 a.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>As if that weren\u2019t enough, you\u2019ll also be able to clearly see both Jupiter and Venus shining\u00a0brightly side-by-side in the early morning hours.<\/p>\n<p>No special glasses will be needed to see this one, but seeing as it takes place in the middle of the night, you might want to bundle up \u2014 the forecast does include some clouds for now, however.
