{"id":2431669,"date":"2019-01-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/?p=294525"},"modified":"2019-01-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T07:00:00","slug":"business-monday-briefs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kspn\/local-news\/business-monday-briefs\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Monday Briefs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"STND-STND Letter HeadLarge\">Aspen lodges tops state resorts in 2018<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">An occupancy rate of nearly 65 percent placed Aspen lodges atop the state&#8217;s resort towns in 2018, according to the most recent edition of the Rocky Mountain Lodging Report, which was released Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Aspen lodges participating in the survey, commissioned by the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, reported that bookings last year amounted to 64.8 percent, slightly ahead of the 64.2 percent posted in 2017.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The state&#8217;s resorts combined for a 55.5 occupancy rate in 2018; the state&#8217;s overall average was 69.2 percent, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Aspen&#8217;s average daily rate of $513.22 was easily the highest in all of Colorado lodges in 2018; Telluride was the second most expensive at $338.52, while Vail was third at $336.53.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">For the month of December, Aspen lodges posted a 66.8 percent occupancy rate, third highest among resort towns.
