She was born in 1924, in New York City, the daughter of Isabelle D.Huston and Arthur T. Huston, and the Granddaughter of Tillinghast L&#8217;Hommedieu Huston, co-owner of the New York Yankees. She grew up in Sea Island, Georgia, where she graduated from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia, then taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade on Sea Island. She attended Bucknell University.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Alexandra was an avid tennis player and swimmer. In her youth she performed synchronized swimming and volunteered at the Home Front Coast Guard Station on St. Simons Island, keeping watch for German subs and destroyers off shore during WWII. She also modeled for Vogue Magazine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Alexandra married C. Thomas Fuller (now deceased) of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania on June 12, 1946 and moved to Willow Brook Farms, where she lived until her death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Tom and Alex Fuller had three children, Holly, Peter, and Vicki.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The Fuller family came west to ski Colorado powder. They built the 2nd house, in Snowmass village, and became part of the Aspen-Snowmass Community, bonding with daughter, Holly and grandchildren, Travis and Afton at Moon Run Ranch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">She was gracious, elegant and a classic &#8220;Lady&#8221; of her era, always the voice of reason, and taught her children to be kind, inclusive and set an example by her life of dignified integrity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Survivors: Sister \u2014 Judith Ely, Concord, NH;<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Children \u2014 Holly Fuller McLain \u2014 Carbondale, CO; Peter Fuller \u2014 Catasauqua, PA; and Victoria Fuller \u2014 Chicago, IL, Grandchildren \u2014 Travis McLain and Afton McLain \u2014 Aspen, CO; Nicole Fuller \u2014 Rogue River, OR.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/obituaries\/alexandra-huston-fuller\/\" target=\"_blank\">via:: The Aspen Times<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alexandra Huston Fuller, at age 94, passed away on January 21st, 2019, at 11:00 p.m., at her family&#8217;s Willow Brook Farms, in her own bed, during the wolf blood moon.
