Don’t fret, pinheads, you will get recognized if you hit 100 days or more on the slopes again this season.<\/p>\n

A rumor has been floating around that Aspen Skiing Co. stopped its century ski club program, where skiers and riders who hit the slopes at least 100 times, get a pin of recognition. Skico Vice President of Communications Jeff Hanle said Friday the rumor is inaccurate. The pins are in hand and ready to be awarded starting in a couple of weeks. Skiers and riders qualify when hitting the slopes of Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk a combined 100 times or more.<\/p>\n

The ski season hits day 85 Saturday, factoring in the early opening on Nov. 17. In a season like this, it is conceivable that some customers have hit the slopes every day.<\/p>\n

This is the 10th season of the century ski club. Skico started the program in winter 2009-10. The founder of the program, longtime Skico employee Ron Chauner, retired, but the program lives on.<\/p>\n

No word yet if Skico is contemplating a 1,000-day club for people who have hit at least 100 days for all 10 seasons of the program.<\/p>\n
