{"id":2440876,"date":"2019-02-21T18:49:06","date_gmt":"2019-02-22T01:49:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=798607"},"modified":"2019-02-21T18:49:06","modified_gmt":"2019-02-22T01:49:06","slug":"kendrick-lamar-sza-will-not-perform-all-the-stars-at-2019-oscars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kspn\/music-news\/kendrick-lamar-sza-will-not-perform-all-the-stars-at-2019-oscars\/","title":{"rendered":"Kendrick Lamar, SZA Will Not Perform \u2018All the Stars\u2019 at 2019 Oscars"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/10020790a.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"\/><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/kendrick-lamar\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kendrick-lamar\" data-tag=\"kendrick-lamar\">Kendrick Lamar<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/sza\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sza\" data-tag=\"sza\">SZA<\/a> will not be performing their Oscar-nominated song \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/watch-kendrick-lamar-szas-vibrant-new-all-the-stars-video-205191\/\">All the Stars<\/a>\u201d from <em>Black Panther<\/em>\u00a0during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/academy-awards\/\" id=\"auto-tag_academy-awards\" data-tag=\"academy-awards\">Academy Awards<\/a> broadcast this weekend, a source confirmed to <em>Rolling Stone.\u00a0<\/em>As\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2019\/film\/awards\/oscars-kendrick-lamar-and-sza-will-not-perform-black-panther-song-exclusive-1203144572\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Variety<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>notes, the reason they will not perform is due to logistics and timing.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the pair\u2019s nominated song, <em>Black Panther<\/em>\u00a0has garnered a number of nominations, including Best Original Score (Ludwig G\u00f6ransson) along with nods for Best Picture, Best Sound Mixing, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Sound Editing.<\/p>\n<p>The other four nominated songs \u00adin the Best Original Song category will be performed during the telecast, including \u201cShallow\u201d from <em>A Star is Born<\/em> (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper), \u201cWhen a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings\u201d from <em>The Ballad of Buster Scruggs<\/em> (Gillian Welch and David Rowlings), \u201cI\u2019ll Fight\u201d from <em>RGB<\/em> (Jennifer Hudson) and \u201cThe Place Where Things Get Lost\u201d from <em>Mary Poppins Returns<\/em> (Bette Midler and Marc Shaiman).<\/p>\n<p>Outside of the Original Song nominations performances, Queen featuring Adam Lambert are also set to perform live during the show.
