The singer-songwriter\u2019s new album <em>Amidst the Chaos<\/em> will be released on April 5th.<\/p>\n<p>While Bareilles sings the track in front of a large, open flame, a pair of dancers perform a romantic, explosive number that reflects the story Bareilles is telling about accepting the demise of a relationship that was never exciting in the first place. The dancers play a couple going through the motions of a relationship that they are grasping to hold onto.<\/p>\n<p><em>Amidst the Chaos<\/em> is Bareilles\u2019 fifth album and first since 2013\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Blessed Unrest<\/em>. In the time since, she has made her Broadway debut as both a lyricist and star in the musical\u00a0<em>Waitress<\/em>. She has gained two Tony nominations for Best Original Score: one for\u00a0<em>Waitress\u00a0<\/em>and later for her contribution of a track to the Broadway adaptation of Nickelodeon\u2019s\u00a0<em>SpongeBob SquarePants<\/em>.
