John provided piano accompaniment as Egerton helmed the song, and though the actor\u2019s voice obviously isn\u2019t an exact match, he nevertheless captured John\u2019s quintessential verve as he belted the 1972 hit. Towards the end of the song, John even joined Egerton for some light harmonies as they hit the final chorus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Egerton will sing all of John\u2019s songs in <em>Rocketman<\/em>, and his version of \u201cTiny Dancer\u201d was featured in the film\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/movies\/movie-news\/taron-egerton-elton-john-biopic-rocketman-trailer-797158\/\">most recent trailer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>Rocketman<\/em> was directed by Dexter Flesher. The film will also star Jamie Bell as John\u2019s longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as his first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as his mother, Sheila Farebrother.
