However, a late sales surge spurred by Amazon\u2019s $2.99 sale for a digital copy of the soundtrack resulted in <em>A Star Is Born<\/em> overtaking <em>Thank U, Next<\/em> at the finish line. <em>Thank U, Next<\/em> finished the week at Number Two with 116,000 total copies<\/p>\n<p>As <em>Billboard<\/em> notes, <em>A Star Is Born<\/em> is the first soundtrack for a live-action big-screen film to spend at least four weeks at Number One since the <em>Bad Boys II<\/em> soundtrack did it in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Outside the shakeup in the top spot, it was a big week for new releases as five just-released albums entered the Top 10, led by Gunna\u2019s <em>Drip or Drown 2<\/em> at Number Three and 90,000 total copies. Migos\u2019 Offset saw his debut solo album <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/offset-father-of-4-review-799031\/\"><em>Father of 4<\/em><\/a> enter at Number Four and 80,000 total copies.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Clark Jr.\u2019s latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/gary-clark-jr-this-land-review-799001\/\"><em>This Land<\/em><\/a> debuted at Number Six with 54,000 total copies, tying the guitarist\u2019s Billboard 200 best debut; 2012\u2019s <em>Blak and Blu<\/em> also peaked at Number Six.<\/p>\n<p>Lil Pump\u2019s <em>Harverd Dropout<\/em> (Number Seven) and Kehlani\u2019s <em>While We Wait<\/em> (Number Nine) also bowed in the Top 10. In the top tier purge, the <em>Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em> soundtrack (Number Five), A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie\u2019s <em>Hoodie SZN<\/em> (Number Eight) and Post Malone\u2019s <em>Beerbongs &amp; Bentleys<\/em> (Number 10) held strong, while winter mainstays like Travis Scott\u2019s <em>Astroworld<\/em>, 21 Savage\u2019s <em>I Am &gt; I Was<\/em> and Drake\u2019s <em>Scorpion<\/em> all dropped out.<\/p>\n<p>Next week, Solange\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/solange-when-i-get-home-album-801308\/\">surprise<\/a> <em>When I Get Home<\/em>, Weezer\u2019s \u201cBlack Album,\u201d Hozier\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-hozier-deepens-his-folk-soul-sound-on-wasteland-baby-801152\/\"><em>Wasteland, Baby!<\/em><\/a> and 2 Chainz\u2019 <em>Rap or Go to the League<\/em> will all compete for Number One.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/charts-a-star-is-born-oscars-number-one-802563\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Academy Awards spotlight and a late sales surge helped A Star Is Born\u2018s soundtrack reclaim Number One on the Billboard 200, ending Ariana Grande\u2019s two-week reign.
