As of this writing, the lineup has not been officially announced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jack White\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/jack-white-raconteurs-new-songs-770987\/\">recently revamped Raconteurs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/imagine-dragons\/\" id=\"auto-tag_imagine-dragons\" data-tag=\"imagine-dragons\">Imagine Dragons<\/a>, Run the Jewels, Gary Clark Jr., Cage the Elephant, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/the-killers\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-killers\" data-tag=\"the-killers\">the Killers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/greta-van-fleet\/\" id=\"auto-tag_greta-van-fleet\" data-tag=\"greta-van-fleet\">Greta Van Fleet<\/a>, Margo Price, Sturgill Simpson, Courtney Barnett, Portugal. The Man, Dawes, the Lumineers, Pussy Riot, Dorothy and Bishop Briggs will also perform at the event, scheduled for August 16th through 18th in Watkins Glen, New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Miley Cyrus, Janelle Mon\u00e1e, Kacey Musgraves, Halsey are also reportedly finalizing their commitments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled with all the excitement about Woodstock 50, but we have an obligation to our fans, artists and partners, to do things the right way,\u201d festival organizer Michael Lang said in an e-mail statement. \u201cWe are in the final stages of laying the groundwork and can\u2019t wait to stage this once-in-a-lifetime event. We\u2019ll be officially announcing the lineup and ticket on-sale soon, stay tuned!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Given the Woodstock brand, the lineup thus far is curiously slanted toward modern artists. However, <em>Variety<\/em> reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/robert-plant\/\" id=\"auto-tag_robert-plant\" data-tag=\"robert-plant\">Robert Plant<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/santana\/\" id=\"auto-tag_santana\" data-tag=\"santana\">Santana<\/a>, two acts who were actually alive and performing in 1969, are in the mix for the revamped fest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Santana \u2014 who played one of the most iconic sets at the original Woodstock \u2014 are also scheduled for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ringo-starr-santana-bethel-woods-woodstock-796958\/\">Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival<\/a>, an event organized by original Woodstock co-creator Michael Lang. Arlo Guthrie, Ringo Starr, Edgar Winter and the Doobie Brothers are also booked for the event, which takes place between August 16th and 18th at the original site in Bethel, New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt\u2019ll be an eclectic bill,\u201d Lang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/woodstock-50th-anniversary-michael-lang-775588\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019ll be hip-hop and rock and some pop and some of the legacy bands from the original festival \u2026 I want it to be multi-generational. Woodstock \u201994 was a nice mix of young and old and that\u2019s kind of what we\u2019re going for here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Reports circled on Monday that Woodstock 50 was facing financial strain, but representatives for the event told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/business\/8501196\/after-brief-delay-woodstock-50-organizers-full-payment-artists\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Billboard<\/em><\/a> that all artists have been paid as of that evening. \u201cThere\u2019s always been lots of rumors around Woodstock,\u201d Lang said. \u201cWe have excellent partners and an incredible talent lineup of over 80 artists which will be announced within the next couple of weeks.
